Royal Wellington Golf Club is one of New Zealand's premier private golf clubs. Royal Wellington is located in the Hutt Valley, only 25 minutes from the Wellington CBD and enjoys a convenient location at Heretaunga, close to the Western motorway part of State Highway 2.

Royal Wellington's par 72 18 hole championship course is a demanding test of golf for players of all standards. At 6200m in length it is long enough to ensure that players need to have good length to their game as well as accuracy to cope with lined fairways and interesting greens.

Set as it is on a flood plain close to the Hutt river it is reasonably flat and best played on foot. The course has some of the last remnants of native podocarp river plain forest as a back drop to many of the holes.
